I have a web site where i can upload videos. Here i have a requirement that while uploading i should validate that user should not upload video with more than 1 minute duration.

So i doubts how we can implement this validation.

Can you guys please help me out.

Hi,

We are using .NET 3.5, SP 1. Our web application requires an AJAX enabled

search control with a look and feel somewhat similar to Yahoo's( comes as part of toolbar).

Ideally it should be auto complete enabled also. Is there any standard controls that we can use

or ones which we can buy.

One of our observations while using the default auto complete feature(AJAX) is that it allows

passing only one string parameter. Has anybody developed custom auto-complete features..?

DevArt dotConnect
DataDirect
Other methods like OLEDB, ODBC etc...

I think ODP.NET is good as it is made by Oracle themself. What you think? What you use?

I had deployed my website in the server.... When i running it always shows 3 errors on every page's page load. Any Comments ......!

Consuming a WCF web service with attachment from a iPad application

Hi all,

Currently, I am architecting a solution where an iPad application is supposed to upload and download files from WCF components. I am planning to use MTOM for sending file attachments. (if some one can educate me about a attachment method which does not use Base64 encoding , I am happy to use it as well)

What i am looking for is

a) some code snippets where server and client for WCF attachments ( without Base64 ) in .net itself ( I am hoping that i will be able to port the stuff to run on iPad using Objective C )
b) if some one has done this , it will be great if some pointers are provided.

Many of my friends who are very passionate about Managed code ( read C# ) claim that Microsoft is pushing hard to move everything to the managed code and even an Application like MS Office is now a managed application (?)

How .Net Framework display MessageBox? Is it calling the Native MessageBox function from user32.dll? or it is creating its own? Because when I used Win32 MessageBox function from User32.dll;it contains more options than normal MessageBox.Show()

Dear,

my webpage has a GridView with LinkButton and paging. While clicking the LinkButton it opens another web page. This web page contain Button_Click event.

What i need is after the Button_Click the first web page should refresh automatically and it should go to the same page of the GridView (...like if i clicked the LinkButton from page 10 of GridView after the Button Click from the seccond page it should go to the First Web page with the Same GridView pageindex with the updated values )

......i am updating some of the values of the GridView from the Second webpage.....
