jata - just another twitter app

Suddenly I had ths crazy idea of developing a Twitter app using .net .. I have posted a preview of it here! ... I think Google copied my design for their Googele talk

Looks cool.  How about providing the UI in silverlight?

Good stuff. Another idea I'm carrying is to mine twitter data to find out trends, like traffic jam. Possibly an app that runs on the cloud, getting twitter feeds, and finding out the trends :)

Yeah! Silverlight is a good option! Second phase will be either in Silver Light or Adobe AIR.

LINQ is new to me.. Should start learning that!

I am out of touch in vb.net for a very long time (more than 3.5 years) ... started it again with 2.0 and plannign to move to 3.5 soon!

I am currently using this app for twittering and it looks cool and better than other similar applications.

The program doesn't starts automatically upon rebooting the system after a shut down. Moreover, I need to enter username and password again. I hope developer will fix this in the next build.

I tested the new version and it is much better than the previous version. I've one suggestion.

The tweets are displayed during each startup similar to that of e-mails usng google talk. I would suggest you to either provide an option like "Turn Off Tweets during Signup". This feature is okay for 5 or 10 tweet displays but will be irritating if the account has 100 or 200 tweets.
