    Re: Installation

    Just install.

Install lower version (2005) first. Otherwize some of the 2008 features will broke.

One of the installations need to be named instance.

    Re: Installation

    Dear,

I installed SQL2005 with named instance and VS2010 first. Then I install SQL2008 also with named instance.

SQL2005 installed in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server"  and  SQL2008 installed in the "C:\Program Files \Microsoft SQL Server".

    Both instances are running successfully.

My problem is that I can not see the Sql Server Management Studio Express for SQL2008. but the ssmse for SQL2008 can see, access and runing successfully.

What I do to resolve this issue...?

    Please help me...

    Regards,

    Jayasankar

    Re: Installation

You can access both SQL 2005 & 2008 from SSMS 2008. (not reverse).

Not sure whether I understood the problem correctly.
