People no longer need to attend school to get degrees. Children spend a lot of time playing video games and surfing the internet. Children’s overdependence on technology has resulted in poor performance in schools, anthe d the development of conditions such as obesity (Taylor, 2013). Partners do not need to meet physically because of the proliferation of social networking sites that connect them from any part of the world.

Overdependence on technology has made us very lazy, restricting our movements and causing us to be incapable to meet the minimum physical activity guidelines and thus putting us at risk of developing health issues.

This dependence on the technology has led to peer pressure in that if a boss uses emails to communicate on the employees about the conference calls and most of your colleagues have ipads and smart phones one may be influenced to buy a smart phone so that they will not be left out and also so that they can keep up with everyone in the office.
